Cancellation policy

This is a friendly reminder about our cancellation policy.

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the practitioners’ day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations. Patients who provide less than this notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee equal to the appointment fee.

Dr. Charlene Banbury grew up in Peterborough, Ontario. She enjoys spending time with her two sons, her husband and her two dogs. Over the years she has enjoyed watching her boys play hockey at the Millbrook Arena and soccer at Mapleleaf park in Cavan.

Dr. Banbury completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at McMaster University in 1995. She continued her education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (C.M.C.C.) in Toronto, where she graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 1999. She began her career practicing in Cobourg and Colborne before moving back to Peterborough where she has been in practice for 22 years.

Dr. Banbury enjoys using a variety of techniques to give each patient an individual program to help them reach their wellness goals. This can include acupuncture as she is certified through McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program and the acupuncture education program through CMCC. It can also include Cranial Adjustments. Dr. Banbury is certified in Cranial Adjusting through Turner Technique and Upledger Institute. She can also help her patients with pregnancy related issues and is certified in Webster technique. Other treatments can include myofascial deep tissue therapy, stretches, mobilizations, acupressure or laser therapy.

Dr. Banbury and her family have made Cavan-Monaghan Township their home for over 22 years. She is very excited to be working within her community and looking forward to working with Dr. Taylor Bonner and the Cavan Chiropractic team.

Dr. Taylor Bonner originally from Peterborough, Ontario, completed her Bachelor of Physical and Health Education at Nipissing University. During her time at Nipissing Dr. Bonner focused on human anatomy, exercise physiology, and biomechanics.

Following her undergrad, she moved to Toronto to complete her doctorate in chiropractic medicine at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College where she graduated in 2018. During her time in Chiropractic College she completed the McMaster University Contemporary Acupuncture program allowing her to broaden her manual therapy knowledge and skills in order to provide other treatment options for her patients.

Dr. Bonner provides evidence-based care by incorporating a variety of techniques which she utilizes to help patients restore lost function and movement, as well as injury prevention. She takes an individualized approach with each patient, treating conditions or functional issues with a combination of soft tissue therapy, joint mobilizations, joint manipulations, rehab programs and education as well as other therapeutic devices. She combines these methods in the best way possible to provide care for her patients to feel better and live an active health lifestyle.

Over the 2021/2022 winter she obtained her Animal Chiropractic training through the Veterinary Chiropractic Learning Centre. She now provides hands on treatment to canine, equine and bovine patients. Her passion for helping animals and humans shows in her work.

Adrianne Colby (she/her) has been a registered Massage Therapist since 2017 and has worked in the Millbrook/Cavan area for the last 6 years. She has experience and training in Swedish Massage and advanced techniques that promote relaxation, decrease pain, increase range of motion and treat a variety of acute and chronic conditions. As a retired doula and breastfeeding educator she has always had a passion for treating birthing people through pregnancy, postpartum and beyond. She also has experience and training in infant massage and uses each session as an opportunity to educate parents on the benefits and techniques that they can use to continue massage at home if they wish. Adrianne also has extensive experience in treating a variety of sports related injuries and understands the importance of regular maintenance for sports professionals. Over the years she has worked with professional lacrosse players, hockey players, triathletes, runners, fitness instructors, etc. helping them reach their athletic wellness goals. Adrianne has truly found her passion through Massage Therapy and is so happy to be part of the Cavan Chiropractic team!

Carron has been a RMT for over 20 years.  Her experience has involved both clinical and spa settings over her two decades in the profession. Carron is a Pilates instructor for both mat and Reformer.  Carron involves her Pilates education with her client’s self-care to enhance their well-being. Carron specializes in creating a therapeutic and relaxing treatment for her clients.  After working in Toronto and Durham, she is happy to call Millbrook home.  She is a mother of two girls and loves spending time with her family.

Dr. Shannon Kelly, originally from Ripley, ON, has been a member of the Millbrook community since 2010. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences at McMaster University. Following her undergraduate studies, she attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and graduated in 2013 as a Doctor of Chiropractic. After graduation she attended the McMaster University Contemporary Acupuncture program, adding acupuncture to the toolbox she uses with her patients.   With years of experience, Dr. Kelly is capable assessing your body, diagnosing your injury, and creating a custom plan to manage your pain and optimize your health. Dr. Kelly uses an evidence-based approach to care in order to help patients live their best pain-free life. Samantha Murray, (RMT), is a graduate of Sir Sandford Fleming College. She is familiar with a diverse array of clinical techniques including; relaxation, recovery, prenatal, swedish, deep tissue, therapeutic, myofascial release, sports massage and more! She is particularly passionate in the areas of musculoskeletal disorders, injury recovery, sports rehab as well as stress management. Through her individualized approach to therapeutic treatment planning, Samantha ensures her clients are achieving their desired treatment goals. Additionally, Samantha is a sports enthusiast, enjoying all things outdoors including hiking, horseback riding, stock car racing and various sporting activities. Hayley graduated the massage therapy program at Sir Sandford Fleming College in April 2016. During her time there she learned a variety of techniques to help treat acute and chronic ailments. She experienced 1200 hours of direct hands on learning and practiced on the public.

Hayley joined the Cavan Chiropractic family in September 2016 and has had the pleasure to treat different age groups and provide a treatment plan that suits their individual needs. She is experienced in traditional Swedish massage, fascial techniques, joint play, deep tissue and Indie head massage.
